The Tequila de Todos
The tequila category has become too fancy.
Hornitos wanted everyone to know that tequila should be shared with the people and stirred with a finger. It’s not for a select few in-the-know but for everyone.
First, we needed to make a big statement. The Met Gala happened to be on Cinco de Mayo. It was the perfect moment to bring the “Tequila de Todos” message with our very own Mex Gala, a party for everyone. We announced it on social with our host for the event, actress Keyla Monterroso Mejia.
For anyone that couldn’t celebrate with us in NYC, we encouraged them to party at home. We even made a Hornitos Mex Gala kit they could win. We spread the word about the Mex Gala by sending these kits to influencers and inviting them to join us for the event in NYC.
The Mex Gala took place right down the street from Anna Wintour and all her guests. The difference? Ours was for everyone! (And had margaritas and lots of tacos.)
Even Nelson Figueroa from Pix 11 (New York Living Segment) joined us for the fun.
Once the event was over, we continued our “Tequila de Todos” brand message with two 15-second OLV’s and four 6-second OLVs.
